Washington County Libraries: Washington County currently has seven branches to serve the residents of the county; St. George, Santa Clara, Hurricane, Springdale, Enterprise, New Harmony, and Washington.

Zion National Park

This website provides information on Zion National Park, Springdale, and Rockville.

Grand Canyon National Park

The north rim of this beautiful park is only 145 miles, approximately 2 1/2 hours, from St. George. Close enough for a fun weekend of hiking, helicopter tours, and horseback or mule rides.

Bryce Canyon National Park

At Bryce Canyon, you look down on miles of exquisitely carved pinnacles and spires.

Cedar Breaks National Monument

Home of the great natural rock amphitheater.

Kolob Canyon

Provides another stunning view of Zion National Park

Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park

A playground for hiking, off-highway vehicle riding, or just playing in the sand.

Gunlock State Park

Open 24 hours year-round and offers boating, water sports, and quality fishing.

Quail Creek State Park

Boasts some of the warmest waters in the state and a mild winter climate to lures boaters and anglers year-round.

Sand Hollow State Park

Boat and fish on Sand Hollow Reservoir, explore and ride the dunes of Sand Mountain, then RV or tent camp in the new campground.

Snow Canyon State Park

16 miles of hiking trails, technical rock climbing, horseback riding, year-round camping, nature studies, wildlife viewing, and photographic opportunities galore.

Dinosaur Discovery Site

The remarkable discovery of an Early Jurassic lakeside environment and thousands of dinosaur tracks.
